The National Space Club and Foundation is the foremost entity devoted to fostering excellence in space activity through interaction between industry and government, and through a continuing program of educational support.
Through its programs, activities, and awards, the National Space Club and Foundation works to promote space leadership and education. The active involvement of senior members of government, industry and academia serves to stimulate a range of activities focused on these objectives.
Education & Outreach
The National Space Club and Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, collectively spends more than $160,000 annually on youth education activities. Among these activities are scholarships, fellowships, internships, and educational programs.
Scholars Program
The National Space Club and Foundation Scholars Program is a summer intern program, for up to 55 high school students, with space scientists and engineers, sponsored by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD and NASA Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA in cooperation with the National Space Club and Foundation. The program is conducted for six weeks each summer, from late June until early August.
Scholarships
In addition, the Space Club sponsors a scholarship.
- The $20,000.00 Goddard Keynote Dinner Scholarship that awards an outstanding student from high school to graduate level who is pursuing a career in the STEM fields.
